This acrylic painting depicts a woman opening a small door in her stomach to either let out or invite in small yellow butterflies. The scene is done primarily in black and white and the foreground has some purple flowers known as a columbine flower. In the language of flowers this one stands for hope, folly, love, dreams, vision, and faith. The inspiration for this piece comes from playing on the phrase "butterflies in your stomach".
