This oil painting was inspired by the artists own mental health journey. Aiming to capture the emotion of being pulled down or sinking into a depressive spiral. Which is known in the mental health world as spiraling. Holding a sense of hopelessness. The artist often tries to paint their emotions to better understand them. Utilizing surreal art methods and dream psychology while trying to portray her subjects in different yet approachable and aesthetic ways.
